About Richard

Engineering and manufacturing businesses often invest heavily in machinery, systems and expertise, yet their visual presentation does not reflect that capability. I work with industrial and corporate firms that need credible, modern imagery to support sales, tendering and recruitment.

My approach is shaped by more than photography alone.

Before becoming a professional photographer, I spent 36 years working within corporate environments. I understand how businesses function internally, how decisions are made and how investment is justified. I have sat in meetings where budgets are scrutinised and outcomes must be clearly defined.

That background means I approach every project commercially, not creatively for its own sake.

I understand the pressures facing managing directors, marketing leaders and operational teams. Imagery needs to work hard. It must strengthen credibility, support sales conversations, reassure procurement teams and help attract skilled people in a competitive market.

When we work together, the focus is clear from the outset. We define what the photography needs to achieve and plan accordingly.

My process is structured and reliable. Industrial environments require preparation, communication and respect for operational constraints. I work efficiently on site, minimise disruption and deliver to agreed timescales. Clients value that professionalism just as much as the final images.

Most importantly, this is not about artistic ego. It is about producing strong, purposeful visuals that reflect the quality of your engineering, your people and your systems.

The goal is simple. To ensure your visual presentation matches the capability you have built within your business.

AI Use Policy

I use artificial intelligence tools in a limited and responsible way to improve efficiency and maintain high production standards.

AI may assist with tasks such as image selection, technical optimisation, transcription and workflow organisation. All creative decisions, final edits and delivered content are personally reviewed and approved by me.

For corporate and industrial clients, authenticity is essential. I do not use AI to fabricate people, products, facilities or operational environments unless this has been clearly agreed in advance.

Client confidentiality is respected at all times. Where software includes AI functionality, reputable professional platforms are used and materials are handled in accordance with UK data protection requirements.

If your organisation has specific AI policies or restrictions, I am happy to align with them prior to the project starting.

Anti Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

I am committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all areas of my business operations. Although I operate as a small photography and video production business, I recognise the responsibility to act ethically and to promote fair working practices within my own activities and the wider supply chain.

My Commitment

I will not tolerate any form of forced labour, exploitation or human trafficking. I am committed to working in a responsible and transparent manner and expect the same standards from any suppliers or partners I work with.

Supply Chain and Services

My supply chain is limited and mainly involves equipment suppliers, software providers and occasional freelance support. Even so, I aim to work only with reputable organisations that follow ethical labour practices. If I believe that any supplier is acting in a way that conflicts with these principles, I will take appropriate action which includes reviewing or ending the relationship.

Policies and Standards

I aim to:

  • Operate with integrity and fairness in all business dealings.

  • Support ethical employment practices.

  • Avoid working with any organisation involved in modern slavery or human trafficking.

  • Review this statement regularly and update it when required.

Raising Concerns

I encourage anyone who works with me or alongside me to raise any concerns about potential unethical practices. Any concerns will be taken seriously and handled sensitively.

Ongoing Commitment

Although the risk in my sector is low, I remain committed to acting with integrity and continually improving my approach to responsible business conduct.

This statement reflects my commitment to the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and will be reviewed annually.
